Three Dead and 34 Injured in Ghazni Traffic Accidents During Eid

The Ghazni Police Media Office has announced that during the days of Eid, at least 34 traffic incidents occurred in various areas of the province, resulting in three deaths and 34 injuries.
According to the Taliban-run agency, most of these incidents took place in districts along the Kabul-Kandahar highway, one of the country’s major transit routes which consistently experiences heavy vehicle traffic.
Officials have cited driver recklessness and driving at night as the primary causes of these accidents. Additionally, the lack of effective traffic monitoring, insufficient warning signs, and the poor condition of certain sections of the highway are also annual factors contributing to the increase in casualties. This issue demands serious attention from the Taliban administration and relevant authorities.
Meanwhile, official sources added that five others lost their lives in separate drowning incidents in the province. No further details regarding the exact locations of these events have been released.
