Two New Health Centers Opened in Helmand Province with UNHCR Support

Two new health centers, constructed at a cost of nearly 50 million Afghanis, have been inaugurated in Helmand province. These centers were established with financial support from the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
One of the centers is located in the Nahri Saraj district, while the other is situated in the Ahmadshahi Mina area of Lashkargah city. Officials stated that both centers have approximately 30 rooms each and are designed to provide basic healthcare services.
According to the officials, with the activation of these two centers, nearly 60,000 residents in the mentioned areas will have improved access to health services. The establishment of these facilities comes amid a backdrop of healthcare shortages in several parts of Helmand in recent years.
