OIC and Qatar Representatives Discuss Enhanced Cooperation on Afghanistan

Mohammad Saeed Al-Ayash, the Ambassador of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Kabul, met with Mirdaf Al-Qashouti, Qatar’s Ambassador to Afghanistan, to discuss expanding cooperation and coordination in support of humanitarian, developmental, and stability efforts in the country.

According to published information, both sides emphasized strengthening joint collaborations to support the people of Afghanistan under current conditions. The meeting highlighted the importance of coordination between regional institutions and countries in addressing both the urgent and long-term needs of Afghanistan.

The OIC, composed of several Islamic countries, has played a role in humanitarian aid and support for development programs in Afghanistan in recent years. Qatar is also among the countries active in humanitarian assistance and diplomatic engagements related to Afghanistan.

Both parties reaffirmed their mutual commitment to continue cooperation aimed at tackling the humanitarian challenges and socio-economic problems faced by the Afghan people.
