Construction of Two Water Supply Networks Begins in Arzgan

The construction of two water supply networks in the Charchino and Khas districts of Arzgan has commenced, with a budget exceeding 13 million Afghanis. According to local sources, the project is being implemented with financial support from UNICEF and is expected to provide drinking water access to 204 families in these areas.
Based on the information provided, the total cost of the project has been declared as 13,382,020 Afghanis. Under this initiative, two deep wells will be drilled, two water storage tanks will be constructed, and approximately 7,982 meters of pipeline will be extended in the relevant areas.
Residents of Charchino and Khas districts have faced a shortage of safe drinking water in recent years, and many families have been forced to obtain water from unsafe sources. However, no further details have yet been provided by the Taliban administration regarding how project implementation will be monitored or how budget transparency will be ensured.
Arzgan is one of the central provinces of the country, with large parts of it facing serious challenges due to a lack of basic infrastructure, especially in water supply and public services. The residents of this province hope that similar projects will continue sustainably and with broader coverage.
