Three Dead and Eight Injured in Separate Traffic Incidents in Ghazni Province

The Ghazni Police Command has reported that two separate traffic incidents in the Qarabagh and Waez districts of the province have resulted in three deaths and eight injuries.
According to the statement from the authority, the first incident occurred on the Kabul-Kandahar highway in the area of ‘Kote’ in Qarabagh district. In this incident, a cargo truck collided with a passenger vehicle, causing seven people to be injured.
The second incident took place on the road leading to Waez district, near the Migrants’ Township, where a vehicle overturned. According to the source, this accident caused three fatalities and one injury.
The Kabul-Kandahar highway is one of the country’s busiest routes and experiences numerous traffic incidents every year. In recent years, the lack of effective measures for traffic management, vehicle condition monitoring, and improving road safety standards have been major challenges. Citizens have repeatedly urged the Taliban administration to take serious action to reduce casualties.
