Construction of $2.15 Million Passenger Terminal Reaches Halfway Point in Kandahar

Construction of a passenger terminal worth nearly 167 million Afghanis is underway in the Bagh Pul Seema area of Kandahar province. Officials report that the project is approximately 50 percent complete. This terminal is intended to serve passenger vehicles traveling to and from the provinces of Nimroz, Helmand, Farah, and Herat.
The project is being implemented on an area of 142 jeribs of land, aiming to establish an organized hub for passenger transportation between the southern and western provinces of the country.
According to provided information, once completed, the terminal will offer passengers waiting lounges, organized vehicle parking, a mosque, and other facilities. Additionally, a well-structured environment for transportation services and related amenities is planned.
Kandahar is one of the key provinces in southern Afghanistan, with its highways connecting the western and southwestern regions of the country. The establishment of such facilities is expected to facilitate passenger movement and improve the organization of transport activities.
