Iranian Embassy in Kabul Expresses Condolences for Flood Victims in Afghanistan

The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Kabul has expressed its condolences to the families affected by recent natural disasters in several provinces of Afghanistan, which have resulted in the deaths of 77 people and injuries to 137 others. This information was released by the Disaster Management Authority under the Taliban administration.

According to data from this authority, from March 27 to April 4, heavy rains, floods, lightning strikes, and landslides across various provinces have caused significant human losses. Detailed information about the most affected areas has yet to be published.

Due to its geographical location and lack of adequate water management infrastructure, Afghanistan faces the risk of devastating floods every rainy season. Citizens have consistently called for effective preventive measures, better preparedness, and prompt assistance to families affected by disasters from the responsible institutions.

In recent days, residents of some affected areas have also complained about the shortage of basic facilities and emphasized the need for more serious attention to crisis management and support for those impacted.
