600 Flood-Affected Families in Kandahar Relocated to Safe Areas

The Directorate of Information and Culture in Kandahar has announced that, following floods in parts of the province, approximately 600 affected families have been rescued from affected areas and relocated to safe locations over the past two days.

Officials from the Youth Affairs Department of the directorate stated that the evacuation operations took place in various parts of Kandahar, with efforts made to promptly move families to secure zones to prevent further risks.

According to the directorate, with financial support from local businessmen and youth, bread and some essential supplies have also been distributed to the affected families.

Although these measures address some immediate needs of the flood victims, local residents emphasize that continuous assistance and systematic planning by the Taliban administration for natural disaster management and long-term support for affected families remain a critical necessity in the province.
