New Milk Processing Factory Opens in Laghman Province

Officials from the Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock Department of Laghman province have announced the construction and inauguration of a new milk processing factory in the Qarghio district. According to these officials, approximately four million Afghanis were spent on building the factory, which has the capacity to process five thousand liters of milk daily. The factory produces a variety of dairy products from processed milk, including cheese, kashk (dried yogurt), yogurt, and other similar products. Authorities stated that the factory aims to support local herders, reduce milk waste, and provide opportunities for value addition to dairy products in rural areas of Laghman.
