US Action Against Venezuela Threatens Global Order, Warns French Media

French newspaper Libération has warned that President Donald Trump’s order for military action against Venezuela could have far-reaching consequences for global order and stability. Libération, in its front-page headline, focused on the developments in Venezuela, questioning which country Trump might target next after Venezuela. The newspaper described this approach as a worrying sign of Washington’s aggressive foreign policy. Referring to Trump’s previous remarks about regions such as Greenland, Colombia, and Cuba, Libération added that US military actions and threats challenge the foundations of international order and global stability, potentially leading to unpredictable consequences. In this context, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán also stated that US actions against Venezuela provide further evidence of the collapse of the current world order. He described Donald Trump’s return to the White House as a serious blow to the liberal order governing the world. Orbán emphasized that the new world order has yet to take a clear shape and that more unstable, unpredictable, and dangerous years lie ahead. According to the report, the US attempt to abduct Venezuela’s President Nicolás Maduro has sparked widespread reactions globally, with several countries condemning the move as a violation of the United Nations Charter and international law principles.
