Explosives from Past Conflicts Found and Neutralized in Bagram, Parwan

The Parwan provincial police command announced that a cache of explosives left over from past conflicts was discovered and defused on Sunday, September 30, in the Charqala area of Bagram district.
According to the authorities, the disposal operation was carried out under strict security measures in a controlled manner, preventing any casualties or damage.
The explosives are believed to be remnants of previous wars or periods of insecurity in the region, where the presence of militant groups and military activities was common.
Although the Taliban administration has taken responsibility for this clearance, concerns remain over the widespread presence of landmines and unexploded ordnance across Afghanistan, which continue to pose serious threats to families, particularly children.
