Three Children Killed in Suspected Airstrike in Khost

A local source said an airstrike on Wednesday evening in Lahori area of Spera district, Khost province, killed three children and wounded eight others. Among the dead was a girl, and at least one woman was reported among the injured.

According to the source, the strike targeted the home of a local resident named Sijam. It remains unclear who carried out the attack or why the house was targeted.

So far, Taliban authorities have not commented on the incident or the civilian casualties. This silence over the deaths of children and women has raised serious questions about negligence and lack of transparency in security matters.

Local sources noted that Lahori in Spera district has previously witnessed similar incidents, repeatedly heightening residents’ concerns over the safety of civilians.
