Taliban Administration Reports Vocational Training for 90% of Border Police Forces

The Taliban’s Ministry of Interior’s Border Directorate spokesperson has announced that in the current year, vocational training has been provided to 90% of the border police forces. According to him, this program was implemented with the aim of enhancing the capacity of personnel stationed at the borders.

Abdullah Farooqi added that during the same period, border police have prevented the smuggling of precious stones, historical artifacts, and narcotics at airports, ports, and border gates across the country. He further stated that a number of individuals have been arrested in connection with these incidents.

No further details have been provided regarding the exact number of detainees or the quantity of seized goods. Additionally, no independent statistics or reports have been published to verify these claims, and the Taliban administration has not made additional information available to the media on how these trainings were conducted.

Experts consistently emphasize that transparency in providing statistics and regular reporting on the performance of security agencies can strengthen public trust—a matter of growing importance in the current circumstances.
