Mehtarlam Municipality Collects 106 Million Afghanis in Revenue in 1404 Solar Year

Officials of Mehtarlam Municipality, the capital of Laghman province, report that the institution has collected 106 million Afghanis in revenue during the solar year 1404. According to them, this amount has been deposited into the government’s treasury.
According to the officials, this revenue was generated from various urban sources, including market royalties, gate tolls, issuance of permits, booth rentals, and provision of municipal services.
Based on the provided information, out of the total revenue collected, 88 million Afghanis have been spent on various development sectors and urban projects, while the remainder has been transferred to the government treasury.
Municipalities in Afghanistan are responsible for managing urban services, regulating markets, and providing facilities for city residents, with the majority of their revenue coming from these sources.
