Heavy Rain Disrupts Traffic on Major Highways in Herat Province

Local officials of the Taliban administration in Herat province have announced that due to heavy rainfall, travel on the highways connecting Herat to Kandahar, Islam Qala, Torghundi, and Badghis is facing serious difficulties.
The Taliban’s media office in Herat released a statement on Saturday, 8th of Hamal, reporting ongoing heavy rain in these areas, which has caused traffic delays and made vehicle movement challenging.
The statement urged travelers to refrain from non-essential journeys on these highways until further notice and to observe safety precautions.
Meanwhile, the Taliban’s meteorology department had issued a warning the previous day about the likelihood of rainfall in most provinces across the country, advising citizens to take necessary precautions.
