Yemeni Houthis Warn of Possible War in Support of Iran Amid Rising Tensions

Yahya Saree, spokesperson for Yemen’s Ansar Allah (Houthis), has declared that if tensions between the United States, Israel, and Iran continue to escalate and spread, the movement is prepared to join the conflict alongside Iran. This warning came in an official statement emphasizing the group’s military readiness.

According to the statement, if any new country or coalition joins the U.S. and Israeli military actions against Iran and its allies, or if the Red Sea is used for operations against Iran and other regional countries, Ansar Allah will consider direct intervention.

The statement further noted that continued attacks against Iran and what the group referred to as the “axis” constitute additional potential reasons for entering the war. The Red Sea, a vital global trade route, has experienced repeated military tensions in recent years.

In the statement, the Ansar Allah spokesperson described the ongoing conflicts between the U.S. and Israel against Iran as an “unjustified and unprovoked aggression,” warning that continued hostilities could threaten regional and even global stability. So far, U.S. and Israeli officials have not issued any new responses to these remarks.
