Shortage of Schools and Teachers in Khogiani Leaves Hundreds of Children Out of Education

Residents of Khogiani district in Ghazni province say that due to a shortage of schools and teachers, hundreds of children in the district are deprived of access to education. According to them, the lack of adequate educational facilities has posed a serious challenge to the children’s academic future.
Residents emphasize that in some areas, existing schools do not have the capacity to accommodate all students, and the shortage of teachers has significantly reduced the quality of education. They urge the Taliban administration to take immediate and effective measures to address this issue.
Meanwhile, local Taliban officials in Ghazni have also confirmed the shortage of schools and teachers in Khogiani. They stated that efforts to hire new teachers and expand educational facilities are underway.
However, residents say that promises will only be acceptable when tangible changes are observed in the areas. The ongoing deprivation from education continues despite access to education being considered a fundamental right of children, and neglecting this can lead to long-term social consequences.
