Taliban Seeks to End Isolation Through Active Foreign Policy Engagement

Last solar year has been described as a year of efforts by the Taliban administration to reduce international isolation and move toward greater engagement with regional and global countries. Kabul has tried to redefine its position in international equations by increasing its presence in regional meetings, expanding diplomatic visits, and strengthening contacts with several countries.

During this period, representatives of the Taliban administration have participated in several regional meetings and held meetings with officials from various countries. These activities are considered part of a strategy aimed at reducing political pressures and opening new communication channels with the world.

Despite these efforts, the Taliban administration is still not recognized by many countries and political and legal restrictions remain. Ongoing global concerns about human rights conditions, especially the rights of women and girls, are seen as one of the main challenges on the path to normalizing Afghanistan’s foreign relations.

Experts believe that the success of this approach depends on practical actions and tangible changes in domestic policies; issues that can directly affect the level of engagement the international community has with Kabul.
