Border Clash in Dand Patan, Paktia Kills One Civilian

Sources told Tolo News that around 11 p.m. last night, Taliban forces once again attacked Pakistani military posts along the Durand Line in the Dand Patan district of Paktia province. The clashes led to an exchange of fire between the two sides.

According to sources, in response to this incident, Pakistani forces fired an artillery shell which hit a residential house in the Kot area of Dand Patan district. As a result, one civilian was killed and several others were wounded.

The exact number of injured and their medical conditions remain unclear. Neither the Taliban administration nor Pakistani officials have issued official statements regarding the incident.

The Durand Line, a disputed border between Afghanistan and Pakistan, has witnessed multiple military tensions in recent years. The continuation of such clashes raises concerns about the security of local residents and the Taliban’s management of the situation, as civilians living in border areas often bear the brunt of the violence.
