Global Muslim Scholars’ Union Calls for Immediate Ceasefire Between Afghanistan and Pakistan Before Final Ten Days of Ramadan

Ali Mohieddin Al-Qaradaghi, president of the Global Union of Muslim Scholars, has issued a fatwa calling for an immediate halt to the conflicts between Afghanistan and Pakistan, emphasizing that these tensions must end before the start of the final ten days of Ramadan.
He shared this fatwa on the social media platform X, stating that the clashes between the two Muslim countries contradict Islamic teachings, especially during Ramadan, a time meant to strengthen solidarity and refrain from violence.
Al-Qaradaghi urged the leaders of both countries to stop the war as soon as possible and resolve their disputes through dialogue. He suggested that such talks could be facilitated by mediators like Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey.
The president of the Global Union of Muslim Scholars further stressed that war among Muslims is forbidden according to Islamic law, and Muslim countries should focus on enhancing unity and adopting a common stance instead of confrontation.
