US Report Highlights Iran’s Hypersonic ‘Fattah 2’ Missile Capabilities

An American publication’s latest report has examined the features of Iran’s hypersonic missile ‘Fattah 2,’ describing it as possessing significant capabilities. This report was released following Iranian sources’ announcement of the missile’s use in an attack.
According to the published report, the Fattah 2 missile has a range of 1,400 kilometers and, according to Iranian sources, is equipped with a hypersonic warhead. The report states that the missile can reach speeds between Mach 13 and 15, equivalent to approximately 18,500 kilometers per hour.
The publication identifies the combination of the missile’s high speed and maneuverability as factors that pose serious challenges to interception. The report’s author believes these features could potentially expand the range of possible conflicts.
Furthermore, the article emphasizes that the introduction and display of Iran’s new missiles have complicated the defense planning of Western countries and Israel, impacting regional military dynamics.
