Pakistan Claims Multiple Drones Shot Down Over Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Provinces

Pakistan’s Minister of Information and Broadcasting announced that several drones were detected and targeted in the areas of Abbottabad, Swabi, and Nowshera. According to him, these drones were shot down by Pakistan’s anti-drone systems.
Ataullah Tarar attributed responsibility for the incident to Afghanistan, claiming that the drones were operated by Afghan forces. He did not provide further details regarding the exact timing of the flights or any possible damages.
So far, the Taliban administration in Kabul has not issued an official response to these statements. In the past, similar border tensions and accusations have been raised between the two sides, but the lack of transparency and clear accountability from the Taliban regime has repeatedly drawn criticism.
Abbottabad, Swabi, and Nowshera are cities in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in the northwest. Due to their proximity to the Afghan border, these areas have occasionally witnessed security incidents in recent years.
