Oman’s Foreign Minister and IAEA Chief Discuss New Efforts on Iran Nuclear Issue

Oman’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Badr Al-Busaidi, the country’s Foreign Minister, met and held talks with Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). The main focus of the meeting was Iran’s nuclear file and some new ideas related to interactions between Iranian and American parties. According to released information, these talks took place within the framework of ongoing diplomatic efforts concerning Iran’s nuclear program. No further details have been disclosed regarding the content of the proposals or the possible outcomes of this meeting so far. Oman has played a mediating role in certain regional and international talks in recent years and has once again engaged in consultations related to Iran’s nuclear dossier. Previously, Omani officials had announced a meeting between their Foreign Minister and Iran’s Foreign Minister in Geneva.
