Russia Warns That Transfer of Nuclear Technology to Ukraine Could Trigger Global War

The Deputy Chairman of Russia’s Security Council has warned that the potential transfer of nuclear technology from the UK and France to Ukraine could push the world towards a broader war. He emphasized that Moscow considers this move a direct threat to its security.

Dmitry Medvedev stated on Tuesday that any transfer of nuclear technology to Kyiv would, in Russia’s view, be a “direct path to global war.” He added that Moscow issues a serious warning against such a scenario.

Medvedev also declared that if Ukraine acquires nuclear technology, Russia would be compelled to resort to the use of nuclear weapons. These remarks come amid ongoing tensions between Moscow and Western countries over the war in Ukraine.

Russia has previously warned against any advanced military support to Ukraine, considering it a factor that intensifies the conflict in the region.
