Casualties Continue in Gaza Despite Ceasefire Announcement

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza has reported that despite the announcement of a ceasefire, Israeli attacks continue, with the death toll from the war since October 7, 2023, reaching 72,063. According to the latest report from the ministry, the number of injured has also increased to 171,726.

The ministry’s daily report stated that in the past 24 hours alone, the bodies of two new victims were transferred to Gaza hospitals, and 11 others were injured. It also mentioned that some victims remain trapped under the rubble of destroyed buildings or stranded in the streets, with rescue teams unable to reach them due to restrictions.

Gaza’s Ministry of Health added that since the ceasefire came into effect on October 11, a total of 603 people have been killed and 1,618 others injured. Additionally, 726 bodies have been recovered from under the debris.

Meanwhile, the Palestinian Prisoners Affairs Center reported that Israeli forces have arrested 40 Palestinians, including four women and several former prisoners, in various areas of the West Bank since last night.

Local sources also reported that Israeli forces issued several stop-work orders for the construction of ten housing units in the eastern area of the Tuqu village, southeast of Bethlehem. According to these sources, these measures are part of restrictive policies on Palestinian construction in the West Bank linked to land control.
