According to officials from the department, these projects were carried out in various sectors to address the needs of the local residents.
Officials stated that through these programs, nearly 197,000 needy individuals have benefited. Based on provided data, approximately 57,000 people received cash payments in exchange for work, and work opportunities were created for around 28,000 others.
It has also been reported that as part of these projects, health services were provided to nearly two million people. However, further details about the nature of the health projects and how residents accessed these services have not been disclosed.
While the Taliban administration regards these figures as indicators of progress in Helmand’s development sector, accurate information regarding monitoring mechanisms, budget transparency, and sustainability of these projects has not yet been made available to the media.
