Confidential Document Reveals $250 Million Embezzlement in Taliban Administration

Amrullah Saleh, former Vice President of Afghanistan, has disclosed that a confidential internal Taliban document reveals the embezzlement of approximately $250 million from mining revenues. According to him, the 20-page document is the result of an internal investigation within the Taliban’s structure.

Saleh claimed that the funds were embezzled by circles affiliated with Mullah Hibatullah, the Taliban leader, and several key figures within the group. While he did not reveal further details from the document, he emphasized that the report highlights widespread corruption in the management of the country’s natural resources.

According to his statements, this sum pertains solely to the mining sectors — a segment that has become one of the Taliban administration’s most important sources of revenue in recent years. Afghanistan’s mines and underground resources are considered public assets, and any misuse of them could have serious economic consequences for the citizens.

The Taliban administration has yet to respond officially to these allegations. In a context where financial transparency and accountability are key demands of the Afghan people and the international community, the release of such reports raises concerns about the management of national revenues.

Amrullah Saleh stated that individuals interested in accessing the full document can contact the “Afghanistan Green Trend” (AGT) organization.
