Israeli Attacks in Gaza Death Toll Surpasses 72,000, Palestinian Health Ministry Reports

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip has reported that since the beginning of Israeli military attacks on the area, the death toll has risen to 72,032, with the number of injured reaching 171,661.

According to the latest statement from the ministry, military strikes have continued since October 7, 2023, with the majority of the victims being civilians, especially women and children, highlighting renewed concerns over adherence to humanitarian legal principles.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health also indicated that in just the past few hours, the bodies of five more victims were transferred to hospitals, and ten people were injured as a result of ongoing attacks.

The ministry stated that thousands of Gaza residents are still missing and are believed to be trapped under rubble; this situation, compounded by restricted access for rescue teams, has severely challenged rescue efforts.

Furthermore, according to the report, since the ceasefire was declared on October 11, 2025, 581 people have died and 1,553 others have been injured. During the same period, the bodies of 717 individuals have been recovered from beneath the debris.
