Afghanistan’s Chief of Drug Regulation Visits Turkey to Enhance Cooperation

Naimullah Ayubi, the Director General of Drug Regulation and Health Products at the Ministry of Public Health, has embarked on an official trip to Turkey accompanied by a technical delegation. According to the Ministry of Public Health, during this visit, the delegation will meet with officials from Turkey’s drug regulatory authority to discuss issues related to the regulation, supervision, and management of pharmaceuticals and health products. The delegation is also scheduled to visit several pharmaceutical manufacturing plants in Turkey to gain firsthand knowledge of production methods, quality control, and technical standards in the sector. The Ministry of Public Health added that the primary goal of this trip is to establish better coordination between Afghanistan and Turkey in the production and import of medicines, aiming to ensure that, both in the short and long term, the people of Afghanistan have access to quality medicines at affordable prices.
