FAO Provides Livestock Aid to 500 Flood-Affected Families in Baghlan

The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) has distributed livestock assistance to 500 families affected by recent floods in Baghlan province.

Each family received a support package including two ewes, two lambs, a feeding trough, a water container, and 250 kilograms of wheat straw. These aid efforts aim to ensure food security, rebuild the local economy, and create sustainable income sources for vulnerable families.

Local residents of Baghlan, who have lost their homes, livestock, and belongings due to sudden heavy rains and floods in recent months, have found renewed hope for reviving their lives through this support.

Although these international efforts are helping improve living conditions, the Taliban administration has so far not taken serious responsibility for addressing the needs of natural disaster victims, and its role in mitigating the damage is highly questioned.
