Iran’s Foreign Minister Warns of Complete Diplomatic Collapse Amid Rising Tensions

Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister, warned on social media platform X that alongside the nation’s mourning for recent victims and efforts to rebuild damages, a greater danger is emerging: a complete failure of diplomacy.

He emphasized that any all-out confrontation, as he described it, would not only be complex and violent but could also last for an extended period, contrary to the expectations of some actors, and carry widespread consequences.

In his message, Araghchi addressed the current US President Donald Trump, noting that Washington has employed various pressure tools over recent years—including sanctions, cyberattacks, and military actions—but has not achieved its desired outcomes.

He stated that it is time for a change in approach, suggesting that instead of escalating pressure and tensions, a different path based on mutual respect should be pursued—a path that could help prevent the expansion of the crisis.
