9-Kilometer Road in Paryan District of Panjshir Officially Opens

A 9-kilometer road in the Paryan district of Panjshir province has been completed and officially opened today. The project, costing 14 million Afghanis, has a width of nearly five meters.

According to Saifuddin Laton, spokesperson for the governor of Panjshir, this road connects several villages including Qala Paryan, Kohsoor Payeen, Shalkcheh, Arib, Shahr Boland, Bardamnah, and Kohsoor Bala, facilitating easier movement for residents of these areas.

Based on the information provided, the project was implemented by the Directorate of Rural Rehabilitation and Development of Panjshir in cooperation with the provincial Directorate of Economy, with financial support from the ACTED organization.

Local residents consistently emphasize that improving transport infrastructure, particularly in Panjshir’s mountainous regions, plays a vital role in accessing services, markets, and reducing daily challenges faced by the people; an issue expected to be seriously pursued in future planning as well.
