Iraqi Security Forces Arrest Senior ISIS Leader in Western Anbar

Iraqi security forces have announced the arrest of a prominent ISIS leader during a targeted operation in the western province of Anbar. According to a local security source, the detainee, known within ISIS as the “Ruler of the Western Desert,” was captured after precise identification and intelligence-led operations. The source added that the operation was planned and executed in the desert areas of Nineveh, resulting in the arrest of Hamoud Al-Dulaimi without major clashes. The source also stated that Al-Dulaimi was a key figure and wanted ISIS operative involved in multiple attacks against Iraqi security forces and civilians. He is considered one of the founding generation members of the group.
