Pakistan’s Ambassador to Iran Confirms Ongoing Contact with Taliban Administration

Pakistan’s ambassador to Iran has announced that communications and talks between Islamabad and the Taliban administration continue, with the future of relations depending on developments on the ground.

According to Iranian media, Mohammad Mudassir Tipu stated that consultations are ongoing and the path of bilateral relations will be determined based on existing conditions in various areas. He expressed hope that the Taliban administration will take Pakistan’s “legitimate” concerns seriously to pave the way for peace and development through cooperation.

The Pakistani official emphasized that mutual cooperation could contribute to reducing tensions and improving the regional situation, provided that the concerns are acknowledged by the other side.

Meanwhile, the Taliban administration has not yet responded to the latest remarks; however, it had previously described some of Pakistan’s demands and concerns as inappropriate. These positions continue amid calls for transparency and accountability in neighboring relations, which are regarded as crucial for sustainable regional stability.
