UNDP Reports on Emergency Aid Efforts in Afghanistan Amid Crises

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), in its review of events in 2025, has announced focused efforts to provide urgent support to crisis-affected countries, including Afghanistan.

According to the report, with the support of the South Korean mission, UNDP was able to assist residents in earthquake-affected areas within a few weeks, helping them clear rubble caused by the earthquake and resume normal daily life.

In this context, reflections from UNDP crisis officials and staff, along with firsthand accounts from people in crisis-hit countries, illustrate how rapid access to practical aid can prevent worsening livelihood challenges.

Afghanistan, which has faced repeated natural and human-made crises in recent years, continues to require sustainable and non-political support—a need international organizations deem vital for reducing the vulnerability of local communities.
