Nearly 2,500 Foreign Nationals Recorded Entering and Leaving Afghanistan Last Month

The National Statistics and Information Authority reports that nearly 2,500 foreign citizens were recorded traveling in and out of Afghanistan through airports and land border crossings last month.

According to the information published by the authority, in the month of Lindai of the current solar year, 1,320 foreign nationals, including 43 women, entered Afghanistan. During the same period, 1,178 individuals, including 26 women, left the country.

The statement noted that these movements occurred via the Nimroz border, Herat airport, Aqina border in Faryab, Balkh airport, and Hairatan border.

The National Statistics and Information Authority did not provide further details regarding the purpose of the travels or the nationalities of these citizens.
