Hezbollah Representative in Doha Calls for Regional Coordination Amid Rising Tensions

During the Planning and Budget Committee meeting of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly in Doha, a senior representative of Lebanon’s Hezbollah emphasized the need for regional coordination and cooperation in response to the ongoing tensions, stating that the current situation affects all countries in the region.

Hassan Fadallah, a member of the Lebanese parliament, referring to what he described as threats arising from the policies of the Zionist regime, said that under the present circumstances, countries in the region require the highest level of political and parliamentary collaboration to prevent the spread of instability. He considered these threats to extend beyond the borders of a single country.

Pointing to the tense regional atmosphere, he noted that some recent security incidents, including an attack on Qatari territory, should be viewed within the context of broader tensions previously observed in parts of the region. Fadallah condemned these attacks and stressed the necessity of a coordinated response among regional countries.

The Lebanese parliamentarian also referenced the situation in Gaza, remarking that the ongoing conflicts and civilian casualties have raised serious concerns about international peace and security—an issue he believes has not been met with an effective response by the international community.

Fadallah further spoke about the continued tensions in Lebanon, adding that the country still faces security challenges and violations of sovereignty. He emphasized that the primary priority is to halt the conflicts and support Lebanon’s stability and reconstruction, urging friendly nations to play a more active role in this regard.
