Maduro Criticizes Trump’s Comments on Venezuela, Urges Focus on US Domestic Issues

Nicolas Maduro, President of Venezuela, criticized the statements and stances of Donald Trump on Tuesday, saying the US president should focus on the social and economic problems of his own country instead of Venezuela.
In remarks reported by the media, Maduro said a large portion of Trump’s speeches and talks are dedicated to Venezuela, while issues concerning the American people and job creation in the US receive little attention in these statements.
He emphasized that every country should address its own domestic affairs and that Venezuela desires to follow its path without foreign interference. Maduro added that the American people have expressed their opposition to long wars, regime changes, and external interventions through their votes.
The Venezuelan president further stated that Caracas is always ready for respectful and calm dialogue and believes that focusing on domestic problems is the main condition for effective governance in any country. He also told Venezuela’s allies in China, India, and Europe that conditions are favorable for investment in the country.
