Stolen Gold Worth 350,000 Afghanis Recovered in Uruzgan

Police in Uruzgan province say that investigators from the criminal investigation department have recovered stolen gold worth 350,000 Afghanis from a house in the city of Tarinkot.
Bilal Ahmad Rozgani, spokesperson for the Uruzgan police, stated that the gold had been transported to a jeweler in Tarinkot after being stolen. It was identified and retrieved through investigative efforts by the security police.
According to security officials, the suspect in connection with the case has been referred to judicial authorities after the completion of initial inquiries by the office of economic crimes.
This development comes as residents in several provinces continue to express concern over rising crime and the security of their personal property, more than three years into Taliban rule. Citizens are calling for greater transparency and accountability from security institutions.
