Afghanistan to Send 36 Historical Artifacts to Islamic Museums Exhibition in Qatar

The Taliban government’s Department of Information and Culture has announced that 36 historical and cultural artifacts from Afghanistan have been selected for participation in a joint exhibition of Islamic countries’ museums in Qatar. The transfer process is currently underway.
According to a statement from the department, the Qatari ambassador to Kabul, Murdif Al-Qahtani, met with Sheikh Shair Ahmad Haqqani, the acting head of the department, to discuss the transportation of the Afghan artifacts to Qatar and their display at the exhibition.
The ambassador stated that the exhibition is scheduled to open in the second month of the coming calendar year, with officials from various Islamic countries expected to attend the opening ceremony. The aim of the exhibition is to showcase historical artifacts and promote cultural ties among Islamic nations.
Haqqani highlighted the friendly relations between Afghanistan and Qatar, emphasizing the importance of civilizational, academic, and historical exchanges. He also proposed organizing joint cultural programs, exhibitions, and academic conferences.
According to the statement, the 36 artifacts have already been selected, and necessary coordination with relevant institutions for their transportation and administrative procedures is ongoing to ensure they are delivered to Qatar on time.
