New Footage Shows Hamza bin Laden Alive in Afghanistan, Say Intelligence Experts

A new report by the Transatlantic Intelligence Consortium (TIC), which consists of former Western intelligence officers and counterterrorism experts, claims to have obtained conclusive visual evidence confirming that Hamza bin Laden, son of Osama bin Laden and the new leader of al-Qaeda, is alive and present in Afghanistan.
According to TIC, the footage represents the first recorded image of Hamza bin Laden since 2019. The video was analyzed using advanced facial recognition technology, image-matching software, and AI-based authentication systems, all of which confirmed both the identity of the individual and his geographic location.
The video, recorded earlier this year in 2025, was obtained through various field sources who have tracked Hamza bin Laden’s activities for years. TIC noted that the individual who captured the footage is currently located in Europe and under complete protective security. All traceable data has reportedly been removed from the file.
TIC has identified Hamza bin Laden as the new leader of al-Qaeda and warned that his presence in Afghanistan indicates the country is once again becoming a base for the network’s reorganization and rebuilding.
While the Taliban administration has repeatedly denied the presence of al-Qaeda leaders within Afghanistan, credible international bodies, including the United Nations Security Council, have confirmed in official reports that al-Qaeda members operate in the country under the protection of the Taliban. For example, Ayman al-Zawahiri, al-Qaeda’s former leader, was killed in a U.S. drone strike in the summer of 2023 at a residential compound linked to Sirajuddin Haqqani, the Taliban’s acting Interior Minister, in Kabul.
