UK Special Forces Deliberately Killed Afghan Men, Official Inquiry Finds

A formal judicial inquiry in the United Kingdom has revealed that members of the British Special Forces deliberately targeted and killed Afghan men of fighting age during missions in Afghanistan—even in cases where the individuals posed no threat.
According to a report by Sky News, a senior officer within the unit had raised serious concerns about these actions with the head of Britain’s Special Forces. However, the investigation found that senior military officials were already aware of the misconduct and made a conscious decision to cover it up.
This revelation has sparked significant questions about transparency, accountability, and responsibility among foreign military forces during their years of deployment in Afghanistan. British military officials have not yet issued an official response to the findings.
While past reports have documented human rights violations by foreign forces in Afghanistan, this is the first time a formal judicial inquiry has confirmed the direct and intentional involvement of some British soldiers in the killings of Afghan civilians.
