Afghan Foreign Ministry Says More Than 1,000 Civilians Hurt in Pakistani Military Attacks

Afghanistan’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Abdul Qahar Balkhi said 1,119 civilians have been killed or wounded in Pakistani military attacks on Afghan soil. According to him, a large number of the victims were women and children, causing unbearable pressure and suffering for the people of Afghanistan.

Balkhi also referred to Pakistan’s military strike on the ‘Omid’ drug treatment centre in Kabul, saying hundreds of people were killed in the incident, underscoring the deteriorating security situation and the devastating impact of Pakistan’s attacks on civilians.

In an interview with CNN, the spokesman for Afghanistan’s Foreign Ministry urged Pakistan to adopt a responsible approach and resolve security problems through genuine diplomacy and sincere engagement with Afghanistan, rather than making baseless claims.

The remarks come as Kabul and Islamabad remain locked in tensions and mistrust over security issues, a situation that has seriously affected regional stability and security.
