Ariana Network Wins Exclusive Rights to Broadcast International T20 League in Afghanistan
Ariana Radio and Television Network has been named the sole broadcaster of the fifth season of the International T20 Cricket League in Afghanistan. The deal will give fans the chance to follow the league’s matches through Ariana’s television and digital platforms.
The fifth season of the competition, which will run from November 21 to December 20, 2026, features 34 matches in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. Six teams — Abu Dhabi Knight Riders, Desert Vipers, Dubai Capitals, Gulf Giants, MI Emirates and Sharjah Warriors — will compete in this edition.
The International T20 Cricket League, in which each team has a maximum of 20 overs to bat, has grown increasingly popular and features leading international players as well as emerging regional talent. The presence of Afghan players such as Rashid Khan, Fazalhaq Farooqi and Mohammad Nabi has added to the appeal of the tournament for fans in Afghanistan.
By securing the exclusive broadcasting rights to the league, Ariana has expanded its sports programming and given audiences in Afghanistan access to major international cricket competition. More details on the timing and broadcast arrangements for the matches will be announced soon through Ariana’s official pages.
