WHO Representative Urges Wider Access to Health Services in Afghanistan

Edwin Ceniza Salvador, the World Health Organization’s representative in Afghanistan, says cooperation and innovation can expand people’s access to health services.

Speaking on Wednesday, 22 Mehr, on the sidelines of the organization’s 73rd regional meeting, he said shared commitments must be turned into practical action.

According to Salvador, implementing these commitments can help strengthen equity in the health sector and create conditions for healthier lives for people in the region.

The World Health Organization holds its regional meetings each year with the aim of reviewing health challenges and coordinating among member countries.
