Israeli army radio says 12-hour search under way for ‘unknown object’ near Lebanon border

Israeli army radio has reported an ongoing ground and air operation to find an “unknown object” along the border with Lebanon, saying the search has so far lasted 12 hours.

According to Al-Manar, the Israeli army-affiliated outlet said the operation began at 8 p.m. yesterday, and that Israeli forces have yet to determine the location or nature of the object.

According to the report, the Israeli army is simultaneously continuing checks and investigations to identify the object, and the search operation had not ended at the time of publication.

Israeli army radio said the operation is taking place in the western Galilee area, near the Lebanese border. Some sources have also suggested that the unknown object may have been a drone.
