Iranian trade delegation of 180 businessmen arrives in Kabul

The Afghanistan-Iran Chamber of Commerce has announced that an Iranian trade delegation led by Mahmoud Sayedat, head of the Iran-Afghanistan Joint Chamber of Commerce, has arrived in Kabul with around 180 traders, investors and business figures.
According to the chamber, the delegation travelled to Kabul to take part in the Abu Hanifa National and International Exhibition.
The Afghanistan-Iran Joint Chamber also said that Kamaluddin Toheed, the chamber’s head, welcomed members of the Iranian delegation.
In a statement, the chamber said the Iranian delegation will, during its stay in Kabul, not only participate in the exhibition but also meet Afghan traders and business figures and hold talks on expanding trade relations, joint investment and increasing economic cooperation between the two countries.
The visit comes after the Afghanistan-Iran Joint Chamber previously announced another Iranian delegation had travelled to Kabul. That delegation, led by Mohsen Zangeneh, head of the special commission for supporting production in Iran’s parliament, arrived in Kabul to discuss expanding economic and trade ties between the two sides.
