Yemeni Military Says Saudi-Led Coalition Has Carried Out 1,123 Attacks on Yemen

A spokesman for Yemen’s armed forces said the total number of air and missile strikes by the Saudi-led coalition since the escalation of fighting has reached 1,123, adding that the latest attacks also caused civilian casualties.

Yahya Saree said in a statement on Monday that 38 air and missile strikes were carried out over the past 24 hours on the provinces of Taiz, Saada and Hajjah. He added that the attacks killed and wounded a number of civilians, including women and children.

According to the spokesman for Yemen’s armed forces, Saudi F-15 and Typhoon fighter jets carried out the strikes. He said the aircraft took off from the Khamees Mushait and Taif bases, while the missile attacks were launched from Najran and Jizan.

Taiz, Saada and Hajjah are among Yemen’s war-torn provinces and have been repeatedly targeted by air strikes in recent years. The war in Yemen is regarded as one of the region’s most serious conflicts, and civilian casualties have always been a central focus of reporting on it.
