New Health Centre Opens in Chah Ab, Takhar

A health centre has been built in the Wernakhi area of Chah Ab district in Takhar province and has been put into operation.

The centre was established to provide health services to local residents, especially mothers and children.

According to officials, the construction cost of the centre was 8 million Afghanis, funded by a partner organisation. The centre has been set up in Chah Ab district, one of the areas of Takhar province.

Officials from the Taliban-run Ministry of Public Health say they are trying to expand health services to remote parts of the country so residents do not have to travel long distances for treatment.

Takhar province is located in northeastern Afghanistan, and a number of its remote areas face shortages of basic services, including health care. Access to medical centres in such areas is considered one of the basic needs of residents.
