Taliban Army Chief Visits Military Brigade in Uruzgan

Qari Mohammad Fasihuddin Fitrat, chief of staff of the Taliban administration’s forces, visited the First Infantry Brigade during a trip to Uruzgan province, according to a statement from the press office of the army chief. The visit included an assessment of the unit’s situation and an emphasis on the need for troops to remain constantly ready.

According to the Taliban administration, officials from the brigade briefed him during the visit on its activities, security situation, level of troop readiness and work carried out.

The statement said Fitrat, after inspecting various parts of the brigade, stressed the importance of strengthening order and discipline, obeying orders, increasing professional capacity and carrying out responsibilities with seriousness and professionalism.

The Taliban administration also said he assured the officials of the unit that their problems and needs would be taken into consideration.

According to the statement, Maulvi Mohammad Zarif Muzafar, commander of the 205 Al-Badr Corps, also accompanied Fitrat during the visit. Uruzgan is one of Afghanistan’s southern provinces, where a number of Taliban administration military units are operating.
